YOU ARE LOOKING AT A SET OF. ELEGANT ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY EUROPEAN SILVER, ROCK CRYSTAL & RUBY BUTTONS. Beautifully hand crafted set of 6 antique European buttons featuring hand cut transparent rock crystal discs with silver loops and deep red rubies adorning the center. Made around the 1880s. All pieces are hallmarked with « K835″ for the 83.5% European Silver Standard, carry an Imperial Austrian import mark for the city of Prague and another unidentified mark. This means that the pieces were produced outside of Austria and imported at some point of time before around 1900. For this level of quality only a few countries like Russia and France come to mind. The pieces measure 9/16 in diameter and are in excellent condition. They were probably only worn a few times at special occasions, probably as part of a uniform. The pieces come in their original box from famous Austrian jeweler and official supplier of the royal Austrian court Franz Hiess & Sohne.
