Regular Cheques: We hold all parcels paid for by regular cheque for 8 days before sending out to allow definate clearance time. Although a cheque may have appeared to have been paid out of your account this only means your bank has removed it from your account and it may not appear in mine for a considerable time after. It’s also not practical for us to bank every day nor to check our account to confirm that Mr. Smiths cheque has now cleared. As soon as the 8 day period expires your parcel will go out with the next batch of post we send. Postal Orders: (There are two types of Postal Orders: Crossed and Un-Crossed) Crossed Postal Order: Postal orders are now no longer classed as cleared funds. Since the post office made them electronic they can be stopped by both the customer and the post office without notice. Since they became electronic we have had four refused by our post office for one reason or another. We personally have not been presented with any forged Postal Orders but I have been informed by other dealers that these are also in circulation. I hope you will understand that due to this we have no option but to class them as regular cheques and they have to be held for a period of time (usually 8 days) to allow time to clear. As soon as this time has ellapsed your parcel is sent. In a perfect world everyone would be trustworthy and parcels could be sent out straight away without any worry. Unfortunately in the real world this is not the case and a small minority cause these procedures to be enforced for everyone. We may sometimes accomodate people who need longer to pay. It will normally be fine if we are notified in advance. Most items are in good condition, but please view the pictures to judge for yourself, as grades and conditions of items we sell may vary.
