Large Antique Oriental Silver Tribal Box Necklace. This stunning piece of jewelry was hand made in the Orient, probably in India around or before the turn of the last century and features three rectangular and two triangular ornate Silver boxes linked to each other through beaded strings. Attached to the bottom of the boxes are tiny silver bells. The piece is in good antique condition with some tarnishing according to age and a few pieces missing (there seems to have been a fifth string and one more bell). This stylish piece measures approx. 8 1/2″ long (only silver elements) x 2 1/2″ wide and weighs approx. Made from a Silver-Copper alloy of unknown purity. A very rare and unusual piece!
