For your considerations we have Lot #200856. An Estate Oblong Rounded Curved 11.6CT Jade Pendant with Floral Carvings on one side. It has a 14K Bale at the top so you may hang it on a chain(not included). On one side there are Floral Carvings. On the opposite side it’s just smooth with one line etched in on the top going around in a zig-zag line. The colors emanating from the stone are GREEN, ORANGE/ RED-RUST & a little towards BROWN. It Weighs in at 3.3 grams. The Jade measures 24.5mm x 8.5mm tapering down to 6mm = 11.6Carats{estimated only}. All my items, including this one. Came from a pawn shop which was running from 1969 – 1984 in downtown Honolulu within the old Blaisdell Hotel on the corner of the Fort Street Mall{even before it was a Mall} and Chaplin Lane. This location was smack in the middle of the downtown area and could be a bit rough, so you needed to watch your surroundings and yourself as you walked through the streets to end up at the Pawn-shop. The Hawaiian Trading & Cargo Co. Served all of Honolulu and Henry H. (the owner) operated it as he dreamed of doing when he was a young man back in the’50’s in Brooklyn, New York city. He was one of the best educated {both in the sense of worldly knowledge and gemological speaking} and was considered as a very shrewd Pawn-Broker. Over the years, various intrigued Jeweler’s and entrepanures befriended him to try and soak-up some of his vast knowledge which he shared with everybody who took an earnest and sincere interest in learning. He ended up educating several other gentlemen who then opened up their own pawn-shops in the down town area. Hawaiian Trading & Cargo Co. This gave him a huge opportunity to obtain some of the most treasurable artifacts that were being offered during that era. Some small stuff and every so often an interesting piece, no doubt one-of-a-kind, definitely from the’60’s and’70’s. Most likely a little pricey, but with the history of the pieces explained, we hope the world will think it worthy of the cost, we’ll see? Please stay Healthy & Safe!
